Ashley Davis DNP, CARN-AP, AAHIVS, FNP, PMHNP is a doctorally prepared, dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She has dedicated her career to caring for women across every phase of life. With over a decade of experience as a nurse practitioner, Dr. Davis has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including acute inpatient care, community primary care, endocrinology, infectious diseases, addictions, and her local health department, where she provided sexual health services to adolescents, young women, and the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition to her work in women’s health, Dr. Davis has extensive experience in infectious disease management, including HIV and HCV treatment. She has guided HIV-positive women through high-risk pregnancies as both a nurse case manager and nurse practitioner, helping them navigate complex medical and systemic challenges to achieve healthy pregnancies and outcomes. Over the course of her career, she became a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse–Advanced Practice (CARN-AP) and an HIV Specialist (AAHIVS) through the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
Dr. Davis has also trained and practiced in endocrinology, where she cared for patients with complex hormonal and metabolic disorders. Her experience includes managing thyroid disease, hormonal imbalances, gestational diabetes, obesity, and other endocrine conditions, with a special focus on how these health issues uniquely impact women throughout their lifespan.
As part of her commitment to inclusive care, Dr. Davis provides gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender patients. She understands the barriers many patients face in accessing essential treatments and is highly experienced in navigating the complexities of the medical system to secure medically necessary medications and therapies—ensuring accessibility and equity for all women and gender-diverse individuals.
In 2025, Ashley earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to expand her ability to care for her patients’ mental health as well as their physical health. She understands the intricacies of the mind–body connection and how these complexities impact women differently at each stage of life. This perspective allows her to provide holistic, integrative care while blending physical health management, psychiatric treatment, and emotional support in every aspect of her practice. Dr. Davis takes an integrative yet evidence-based approach to treating psychiatric conditions such as depression, perinatal depression/anxiety, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, ADHD, psychotic disorders, gender dysphoria, and PTSD.
